Coco is a CIT student chef, and one of the stars of 'Pressure Cooker', CIT's reality cooking show.
Coco grew up in Medellin, Colombia, surrounded by family who loved food and cooking.
Coco’s passion for food started young. “Who taught me how to cook? I would say it started with my grandmother, on my mum’s side. I used to spend many weekends with her. I used to sit with her in the kitchen listening to music, and we used to dance and sing and cook together. I think she taught me the beginnings…”
As Coco grew older, she continued her love of food by cooking traditional dishes from Medellin for her family and friends. She still loves to cook these dishes today.
Coco moved to Australia with her husband and has been adapting to the Australian culture and way of life. She spends her time learning cookery at CIT, which she really enjoys.
When Coco isn’t cooking she loves to read with a glass of wine, go on calming walks in nature and spend time with her husband. Her main goal and passion is to live her life to the fullest.
“My passion is life itself; living every moment and every chance you have. So if I have the chance to study….I will do it like, right away. If it gives me the chance to work and challenge myself, I will do it. If it gives me the chance to travel, I will do it.
Living each moment as it passes, that is my passion.”
When CIT teacher and Pressure Cooker team leader, Brad Wolter asked Coco to participate in the show she happily accepted, as she wants to take any opportunity that comes her way.
