Certificate III in Hairdressing

When I think of Canberra, I think of the Spanish word Querencia. It means home ground.

"Frankly, everything about my course excites me. I love philosophy, poetry, mathematics, science and literature, but I was visiting Australia and it hit me - hairdressing would be an interesting thing to do!

I find the teaching methods at CIT light and easy, which is great for the students as they are given the opportunity to gain the knowledge they need and grow their genuine interest in the future.

Initially I thought that the Reid campus was small, but it turned out to be much bigger than it seemed! It is actually a great, comfortable, and spacious place for students.

I feel sure that the course has prepared me for my career. I never knew that I could actually hold a comb in a particular way, or that I had the capability to do someone's hair. I'm also learning the science behind it, which is fascinating.

When I think of Canberra, I think of the Spanish word "Querencia". It means "home ground". That's how I felt when I came here. I am constantly struck by this city's beauty and its way of life."
