Events
Events are diverse in nature and this course will provide you a pathway to work for event management companies, event venues, or organisations which coordinate their own events operating in a range of industries including the tourism and travel, hospitality, sport, cultural and community sectors.
These qualifications provide you with the skills and knowledge to be able to assist with arranging conferences or events on a practical level. You will gain and apply a broad set of skills and knowledge in all the elements that go into running a successful event from hands-on skills practical skills such as customer service, effective communication, event staging and registrations to using industry software, social media, and online tools.
The skills you will acquire are transferable into other tourism fields and once you finish your studies, you'll have the option to grow your career further with another qualification or university degree.
With these qualifications, you will be able to use a sound knowledge of event management processes and a broad range of skills to coordinate event operations in roles such as conference coordinator, event planner and meetings coordinator. It will facilitate progression to managerial roles in the industry. You will be able to work independently and make operational event management decisions.
