Overview

If you want to work on the front lines of environmental protection in either the government or commercial sphere, then one of CIT’s Environmental Monitoring and Technology qualifications is the right choice for you. At the Certificate IV level, you will develop the skills and knowledge to collect and analyse a range of environmental data as an assistant to laboratory or field studies, as well as the ability communicate and present environmental information to others.

If you progress to diploma-level study, you will develop the skills and knowledge required to be able to apply a range of methods and technologies to conduct environmental sampling, testing and monitoring in most industry sectors. Additionally, you will learn to assist environmental scientists, engineers and planners with site assessment, minimising environmental impacts of processes and work on the remediation and rehabilitation of sites.
