Community Services - Medical Care

Community Services

CIT courses in community services and early childhood enable new and existing workers to broaden their skills base and knowledge, and to increase job prospects.

The community services sector offers a rewarding career, and with skills shortages in the area there are many job opportunities. You could work in diverse areas such as early childhood services, disability work, mental health, youth work, community work, or alcohol and other drugs.

You can also combine courses and graduate with two qualifications in almost the time it takes to complete one, giving you even more career options and job prospects.

John BoscoStudent Story

John Bosco | Kenya | Certificate IV in Aged Care

“Studying at CIT has been a great experience because we have people coming from all over the world to study here. I think you share a common bond with each other in learning a course that caters to the community, which has been fantastic.

It feels so good using your energy and your mental ability towards helping someone achieve wellbeing in life. I’ve been doing a work placement at a nearby aged care home for several hours a week. I get to engage with the aged and take care of their personal needs, which I am taught at school and I can take straight into the industry.

CIT has been very supportive. Sometimes if you are an international student, you might think you’re a bit disadvantaged, but they teach everything you need to know so it becomes a big advantage!”
